As exceptional as rare specimen of smithsonita from shaft 9 in Toussit. A matrix with galena is partially covered by numerous sharp rhombohedral smithsonite crystals, delicious bluish color, transparent to translucent, forming aggregates, very showy. They accompanied by cerussite crystals very rich in faces and transparent. Good size and fine quality for a difficult piece to be seen nowadays. 46265z
Good sized specimen formed by several globular aggregates of pyromorphite. They are bright, have a yellow slightly green color. They are partially covering a matrix with quartz. These specimens were collected working in old dumps of this French mine. This is one of the best specimens I've seen.
Good sized doubly terminated pyromorphite crystals. They show curved faces and edges, almost giving spheroidal shapes. They are bright, have a yellow slightly green color. They are partially covering vugs on a matrix with quartz. These specimens were collected working in old dumps of this French mine. This is one of the best specimens I've seen.
Specimens of this mine are unusual in the market. This sample, from an former collection, is one of those pieces that make us appreciate the minerals of the La Gaviota mine. On a matrix of goethite, partially covered with tiny crystals of pyrolusite, are disposed very aerial a rich group of tabular barite crystals. Between translucent to transparent. An opportunity to represent perfectly this mine in our collection.
On a solid matrix of feldspar, several groups of spessartine crystals partially covering it; with an intense orange-red color, very brilliant and with transparence. Well defined faces and edges. Some of them are disposed on a remarkable group of well developed quartz crystals with very intense smoke tone. A good sized specimen, perfect for any display case.
In this specimen we can enjoy some willemite prismatic crystals with good size, included in a matrix of white calcite. Willemite usually presents yellow-green fluorescence under shortwave UV light. Calcite from Franklin also highlights for the intense red fluorescence. A very interesting piece.
Druse of brilliant hyaline quartz crystals, with transparence and well-developed prism. Some of them, one with a good size, showing the Japan-law twin, flattened, transparent to translucent. From a classic Peruvian locality which was inaccurated located in Pasto Bueno district, Pallasca province.

Topaz crystal with intense color, transparence and good brilliance. With a complex termination very rich in faces, where we can observe at least two pyramid forms and the pinacoid, along with two prisms. The base is a cleavage surface.
Group of orthoclase crystals, showing the complex faces of the baveno twin together with complex prisms and false rhombohedrons. Nice slightly orange color and defined edges and faces. It was collected many years ago near of the Montseny massif; this area was well known for orthoclase mineral collectors. A classic from a classic collection. Mr. Daunis and Mrs. Ruscalleda (wife) collection were specialized in Spanish quartz and orthoclase specimens.
Group of microcline crystals, amazonite variety, showing defined faces. They are embedded in a matrix of feldspar and smoky quartz. The color is good and very attractive.
Excellent groups formed by lamellar crystals of claraite, of an intense turquoise blue, on a matrix of dolomite and sulphides. It is accompanied by spheric aggregates of theisite crystals, with a bluish to green color. Also with azurite. Analysis results will be sent to the buyer.
Claraite is a rare copper and zinc carbonate which may contain sulfur and/or arsenic. Theisite is a rare copper and zinc arsenate-antimonate that has been described for the first time in this mine in the Catalan Pyrenees. These mineral species are the second citation in Spain.
We have published a book called "Rocabruna i el seu entorn. La mina de les Ferreres" where you could enjoy all species collected and determined until the date of publication (2014).
Globular aggregates formed by lamellar crystals of theisite. With a bluish to green color and brilliance. On a dolomite matrix with barite and chalcopyrite. Accompanied by several azurite, transparent, bright, well-defined and some doubly terminated. Analysis results will be sent to the buyer.

Nice specimen formed by several brilliant crystals of sphalerite, with toasted honey color, accompanied by snow-white dolomite crystals and octahedral galena. It comes from a Spanish locality where it is difficult find these species combination.
This sulphur crystal specimen comes from one of the most worldwide famous mine for this element in the province of Agrigento. Nowadays it is difficult to find crystals of this size and less with a reasonable price. It shows very well defined faces and typically rounded edges. The yellow color is very intense, bright and with a remarkable transparence. To add value to the sample we observe various bituminous inclusions into back side. Good size and gem quality.
These old specimens of pyrite belong to one of those curiosities that Nature offers us. In these pieces we can see crystals those are showing no apparent cubic symmetry. They have, more or less marked, parallelepiped forms unusually flattened. The edges are completely natural and the crystal has been consolidated on its matrix to avoid its possible detachment.
This kind of crystals put into question certain aspects of the cubic symmetry of pyrite. For more information on this topic you can read articles like King & Prewitt 1979 (Amer. Min., 64, 1265-1271).

Rich group of elongated prismatic crystals of crocoite with an intense orange to red color very characteristic for the species. Brilliant and partially covering the goethite and rocky matrix.
Rich specimen formed by complex sphalerite and galena crystals partially covered by small but brilliant seligmannite associated with tetrahedrite, orpiment and quartz crystals. With pyrite and chalcopyrite. You can see under magnification very aesthetic orpiment-seligmannite aggregates. A very nice combination.
Silver specimens from Gualba mines are so appreciated by Spanish collectors due to their scarcity. This specimen shows arborescent and granulated aggregates of native silver emerging from the white matrix of calcite (treated with acetic acid). A unique opportunity to get a silver sample of this historic Catalan mine.
A very old specimen from Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. A matrix, full of cavities, those are partially covered by small but brilliant löllingite crystals and arsenic clustered together. With some quartz. We can enjoy this sample under magnification. We have analyzed the specimen and we will send results to the buyer. These specimens are extremely rare on the market.
Druse of brilliant hyaline quartz crystals, with transparence and well-developed prism. Two of them showing the Japan-law twin, flattened, transparent to translucent. From a classic Peruvian locality which was inaccurated located in Pasto Bueno district, Pallasca province.

Very aesthetic aggregate of globular gyrolite with defined fluorapophyllite crystals. Nice miniature.
